What can I expect in a class?
The classes are instructor led with detailed guidance, modifications and monitoring of technique given in every class. All classes are kept small and inclusive to allow for plenty of individual instructor attention to ensure you get the very best out of the workout.
Each class starts with a warm up moving onto working specific muscle groups so the whole body gets a workout, stretches are incorporated into the class and the class will finish with a cool down and further stretches.
Classes are always friendly and will be a mix of complete beginners and people who have been coming for a long time Most people wear leggings/jogging bottoms, t shirt and the class is done in socks or bare feet.
There are many variations and techniques so that the body never gets conditioned to a routine to keep the challenge of the workout and keep the results coming!
Both techniques are suitable for any age and ability.

About Callanetics and Barre Concept

Callanetics was devised in the 80's by Callan Pickney and this incredibly popular method is still going strong for one reason.....it truly works!

Callanetics is a unique form of exercise that focuses on effective deep muscle toning that will see you drop a dress size in 10 classes! These non impact exercise strengthens the core and pelvic floor muscles, leans and defines your body whilst protecting the back and joints and guarantees inch loss. Research proved that 1 Callanetics class is the equivalent of doing 20 of any other cardio fitness class in terms of results!! (as documented in Look Ten Years Younger by Callan Pickney).

Barre Concept workouts are the latest fitness trend spreading the globe with a celebrity following! Barre is a mixture of Pilates, Yoga, Ballet and Sports conditioning. The addictive mix of strength, flexibility, control and stamina combines to redefine and sculpt the entire body giving a lean dancers body without being a dancer!

Both classes below are at Leader Leisure Centre, Lauder
45 minute Blitz classes for a fast paced focused workout!
10.00am Skinny Callanetics Blitz (45 min)
10.50am Skinny Bitch Barre Blitz (45 min)

CoreSculptUK also run 30 minute Blitz classes in Berwickshire High School and Earlston High School for staff in their lunch hour. If you think that your place of work would like to host a lunchtime class please contact us.

Prices
£10 per 1 hour session paying weekly
£95 for a block of 10 x 1 hour classes valid for 13 weeks from date of purchase

£8 per 45 minute session paying weekly
£75 for a block of 10 x45 minute classes valid for 13 weeks from date of purchase

One on One session - £15 for 30 minute or £30 for 1 hour

Cancellation Policy
If you have booked a class and for whatever reason you can no longer attend please cancel your booking with as much notice as possible, preferably no later than 5 hours prior to the start of the class. This allows for admin to be updated and, if it applies, the reservation list to be contacted.

We do understand that last minute circumstances crop up that will prevent you from coming along at the last minute. Our policy is that if you fail to notify your instructor and do not attend 3 times in a 10 week period then you will be charged for a class.

Suzi lives in Lauder in the Scottish Borders with her husband and two daughters. She grew up in Edinburgh and graduated from Napier University with an Honors degree in Social and Management Sciences. She has studied both ballet and highland dancing and has performed in many national shows including The Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

How Suzi discovered Callanetics
Suzi began Callanetics as a student in 2001 after her boyfriend (now husband!) asked her go on their first holiday abroad. Like most girls, Suzi wanted to look her best on the beach and despite working out at the gym five times a week she still had wobbly bits, lumps and bumps she wasn't happy about. After a recommendation from a very toned friend, she decided to give Callanetics a try and in five weeks she had lost 6 ½ inches from all the hard to reach places and lost a dress size. She was hooked!
